A brand identity is not a logo. It is the set of decisions that lets ten different pieces of work — a sign, a shirt, an ad, an email, a truck wrap, a website — look like they came from the same company without anyone having to ask.

The deliverable here is a system, not a folder of files. Palette, typography, icon library, spacing, and usage rules, written down and published where the people making things can reach them.

The living brand kit

Brand guidelines that live in a PDF die within a quarter. The version built here is a page on your own site — the real palette rendered in the real tokens, the real typefaces at the real sizes, the icon set browsable, the usage rules next to the thing they govern. When the brand changes, the page changes, and there is no stale copy circulating in someone's downloads folder.

What the process looks like

  1. Positioning first

What the business actually is, who it is for, and what it should feel like. Design decisions made before this are decoration.

  2. The core marks

Primary logo, secondary lockups, and a mark that still reads at favicon size and on the side of a vehicle.

  3. The system

Palette with semantic roles, type scale, icon language, and the rules for combining them.

  4. Applied and published

The system applied across the real surfaces it has to work on, then published as the living brand kit.

Where it goes next

Identity work usually rides inside Build + Launch, where the system gets applied to the site and the launch campaign in the same engagement. It can also stand alone if the site is already fine and the brand is the part that is not.

What you get

  • Primary logo, secondary lockups, and a standalone mark
  • Color palette with defined semantic roles
  • Typography scale and pairing rules
  • Icon language and library
  • Usage guidelines — spacing, minimum sizes, what not to do
  • A living brand kit page published on your own site

Every engagement starts with a conversation.
